With over 13 years of experience at Excentus, Brandon has been the driving force behind developing a first-of-kind, nationwide coalition program and engaging in strategic relationships with our cornerstone partners, Shell and Mastercard. In his role as CEO, Brandon is also a member of the Excentus Board of Directors, and he oversees three strategic Excentus business units — the Fuel Rewards® coalition program, our subsidiary Centego, which provides enabling technology and services for private-label fuel reward programs, and managing our IP portfolio. Prior to joining Excentus in 2002, Brandon worked at GTE Internetworking, JPMorgan Chase, iChoose and he was also the Co-founder and Principal at Bloomin’ Partners Inc.
Brandon holds a BA in Finance and Marketing from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs) and he is a board member for the North Texas chapter of the Folds of Honor foundation. When he’s not spending time with his wife and three children, you’ll find him making triple doubles on the court or chasing that elusive hole-in-one.
“The Fuel Rewards program began as a technology platform that facilitated grocer fuel discount programs, and since then, our common reward (fuel savings) has capitalized on the emotional connection between the cost paid for each gallon of gas and the ability to immediately see a rollback of fuel price at the pump. We wanted to help Americans with this pressing problem in a practical way, while also creating sustainable value for our coalition partners.”
In 2007, Thomas joined the Excentus team bringing with him over 10 years of experience in strategy development, mergers/acquisitions, and other corporate finance activities. During Thomas’ tenure here at Excentus, he has managed multiple departments and cross-functional teams — Strategy, Business Intelligence, Finance and Accounting — that deliver critical operating and performance analyses, and attractive consumer-oriented payment products. Additionally, under Thomas’ leadership, Excentus has invested in a robust suite of essential tools and systems that enable business and marketing teams to deeply understand member behavior and develop targeted communication strategies. Prior to joining the Excentus team, Thomas was the founder of W Capital & Consulting, and he held portfolio management as well as analyst positions with Wood River Capital Management, Carlson Capital and JP Morgan.
Thomas graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Finance and Combined Science. Thomas spends his free time with his wife and two children, but you might also find him striving for bragging rights on the basketball court.
Since 2011, Stacey has been responsible for all legal matters for Excentus Corporation including commercial business negotiations, intellectual property licensing, marketing, copyright and trademark, and general corporate governance. She is an accomplished veteran attorney with over 20 years of experience practicing corporate, intellectual property and technology law with other firms across the country. Prior to joining Excentus, Stacey was with Fulbright and Jaworski LLP, where she served as outside counsel for Excentus for 5 years, and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Stacey holds a BBA in Finance from University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School. Outside of work, Stacey spends her free time playing tennis and traveling.
Jeff joined Excentus as EVP & Chief Marketing Officer with more than 20 years of strategic leadership experience at top-performing companies. He oversees the Marketing, CRM and Business Intelligence teams. Having begun his career in the military, Jeff is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and is still active in veterans’ organizations today. Upon his return from Operation Desert Storm, Jeff joined Leo Burnett USA where he produced award-winning campaigns for clients such as Hallmark, Kraft and Philip Morris. As his career advanced, Jeff spent nearly a decade working for RaceTrac Petroleum and Sunoco, Inc. where he excelled in brand marketing and loyalty initiatives. His extensive knowledge of the convenience retail and petroleum industries will help shape the future of Excentus as the company grows to provide more robust solutions to c-store clients.
Jeff holds his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy. In addition to spending time with his wife and four children, you can find him cheering on Army sports teams.
With over 30 years of senior-level business development and management experience, Mike most recently joined Excentus as EVP & Chief Revenue Officer. Mike has been instrumental in leading companies with the creation and implementation of growth strategies and achieving exceptional, sustainable results. Mike began his career at First Data Corporation, where he spent 14 years in a variety of sales, marketing, and merger and acquisition roles. From 1997–2005, Mike served as EVP and President of Transaction Services and President of Utility Services for Alliance Data Systems. During his tenure, the Utility Services division grew from a new market entry to over $200 million in annual revenue. From 2006–2009, Mike served on the Board of Directors of ChoicePay, Inc., a leading provider of electronic payment solutions. In 2009 he also served as CEO where he was involved with the successful transition of the company through a private sale.
Mike has extensive expertise in strategy development, sales and marketing, and a focus on merger and acquisition execution and integration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska.
Scott joined the Excentus team in 2006, bringing with him close to twenty years of invaluable experience in the grocery and fuel operations businesses. With a primary focus on grocery and retail consulting, Scott quickly developed and grew our program implementation organization at the onset of the fuelperks! program, which launched in 2008 with several regional grocery chains. As fuelperks! evolved into the Fuel Rewards program in 2012, Scott’s program operations group rapidly expanded into four distinct operational teams: marketing, customer support, program implementation and the Shell retail development team. Scott’s previous experience includes several years running fuel operations for Winn-Dixie and Safeway, as well as corporate development for Randalls Food Markets.
After finishing his education at University of Houston, Scott’s career took him from Houston to Jacksonville, but Dallas is where he now calls home. Scott and his wife enjoy watching their five children grow up, and although he is an all-around sports fanatic, he lives for his time on the course perfecting his golf game.
Since joining the Excentus team in 2003, Mike has worked tirelessly to shape our Technical Operations group, which represents over 60% of all Excentus personnel. Mike’s areas of operational responsibility include development of applications and technical infrastructure that support coalition and proprietary loyalty programs, information security and compliance, product management and technical project management. Under Mike’s leadership, his support of agile methodologies has accelerated Excentus’ ability to develop cutting edge technical solutions and respond to emerging trends by enabling features and functionality that provide optimal user experiences and demonstrate significant value to merchants. Prior to Mike’s career with Excentus, he held management consulting roles with Ernst & Young and Technology Solutions Company. He also worked for direct marketing startups iChoose and Gator in a product management capacity.
Mike holds a BA in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas, and he is also fluent in Spanish. When Mike is not working with his team to bring innovative solutions to market, he is a foodie at heart, and he enjoys sampling beer from around the world. Most importantly, he is a family man who lives for spending time with his wife and three children.
